A backrest is not a good idea for a ball chair. In fact leaning on a backrest effectively negates the benefits of active sitting. The Evolution Chair is recognized by the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and endorsed by numerous medical professionals for its rehabilitative design. Our backless height adjustable design ensures you sit centered on the ball utilizing your core for stabilization. Another important factor to consider when purchasing a ball chair is ergonomics. The Evolution Chair is designed to fit users of different weights and heights. Many ball chairs, do not come with height inserts (2 inch risers) for the base and are only suitable for users under 5’3”, otherwise you will be sitting too low to the floor.
